You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and outstanding customer service. Working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, you will put people first, act with integrity, and help maintain a professional, welcoming environment throughout the property.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out Allied Universal procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout commercial property common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading docks, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns; report findings to site management and/or dispatch as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, medical calls, fire alarms, and/or building evacuations as directed by post orders.
• Document security-related activities, incidents, and patrol observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and site contacts.
