As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly with site contacts, and assist guests and tenants with a customer-first approach. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and suspicious activity.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor entrances, corridors, and high-traffic areas, and address policy violations in accordance with post orders.
Assist with access control by observing deliveries, service vendor activity, and after-hours entry and/or exit in assigned areas.
Complete detailed incident reports and activity logs, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Provide directions and general assistance to customers, including supporting lost and found procedures when assigned.
Support crowd management during peak shopping hours and special events, helping to de-escalate conflicts and requesting additional resources when needed.
Operate communication equipment and follow escalation procedures to request law enforcement, fire, and/or medical assistance when required.
Follow established procedures for alarm activations, door checks, and area inspections, and report hazards and maintenance issues to the appropriate contact.
