As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will report concerns, support staff and visitors with strong customer service, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating needs to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, laboratories, and waiting areas, as well as exterior perimeters, parking areas, and entrances.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying badges and/or visitor credentials, managing sign-in processes, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or unusual activity observed during patrols.
