Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, visitor flow, and compliance with location rules and posted guidelines.
Assist with incident reporting, directional support, and general presence throughout the location to help support a welcoming environment and security-related awareness.
