As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor directions, and assisting with wayfinding to approved areas.
  • Complete shift documentation and incident reports, and operate security-related systems such as alarms, radios, and/or camera monitors in accordance with site procedures.
