As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to calls for assistance, observe and report unusual activity, and promote a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Proof of required hospital vaccines is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting concerns, and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, documenting observations and completing required reports, logs, and/or incident statements.
  • Support emergency and non-emergency operations such as fire alarms, medical events, and missing person situations by following post orders, communicating by radio, and assisting with orderly movement of people as needed.
