Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid commercial driver’s license is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, donors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, parking areas, donor processing spaces, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and support site protocols for restricted areas and after-hours entry.
  • Assist with de-escalation, directional support, and general assistance in a healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and clear communication with staff and guests.
