Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A valid commercial driver’s license is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, donors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, parking areas, donor processing spaces, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and support site protocols for restricted areas and after-hours entry.
Assist with de-escalation, directional support, and general assistance in a healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and clear communication with staff and guests.
