About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Parking Patrol Driver in Cleveland, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support staff and visitors with courteous service, and communicate clearly while reporting concerns. Requirements

  • This hospital site requires vaccines.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, waiting rooms, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter prohibited activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, documenting observations and completing incident reports per site requirements and Allied Universal expectations.
  • Communicate clearly via radio and/or phone, providing status updates, requesting assistance when needed, and supporting patient transport routes and other operational needs as assigned.
