As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and report concerns with clear communication. You will support site staff and visitors with professional customer service while following post orders and working as part of a team. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, checking deliveries and pickups, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of docks, yards, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance and operational concerns.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and radio traffic, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, access activity, and incidents, and communicate relevant updates to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
