As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will represent Allied Universal with an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, bringing a caring culture that puts people first while delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify hazards or policy concerns for follow-up.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor direction and wayfinding, and help to maintain orderly movement within the location in accordance with posted rules and site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol findings, incidents, and service calls, and communicate observations promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
