As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and delivery check-ins, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with employees and contractors, and document activity with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining visitor, vendor, and contractor logs.
  • Monitor access points, alarms, and camera systems as assigned, and report irregular activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Support shipping and receiving traffic by coordinating with drivers and dock personnel, verifying delivery and pickup documentation, and directing vehicles to designated locations per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and completing required reports.
