As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist tenants and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, report concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access-control issues.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, then communicate concerns to building management and/or Allied Universal supervision per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and completing required reports.
- Assist with visitor management and after-hours access requests, including verifying identification and directing individuals to the appropriate destination per site guidelines.
