As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to requests from staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service. You will observe and report unusual activity, support access control, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting staff with de-escalation support and contacting emergency services and/or leadership as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns for notification.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor wayfinding, and help maintain orderly flow in lobbies, corridors, and other common spaces in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
