Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. Requirements
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, corridors, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd control, disturbances, medical calls, and property damage reports as directed.
- Monitor activity and conditions within assigned areas, document observations, and complete reports such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol activity reports.
- Support access control and loss prevention efforts by observing for policy violations, requesting identification when required, coordinating with mall management and/or local responders, and reporting hazards or suspicious behavior.
