Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to customer and/or employee concerns with clear communication and service. You will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, document observations, and work as a reliable teammate with integrity in a caring, people-first culture that values agility and innovation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail grocery setting.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with training, licensing requirements, and location-specific post orders while performing assigned duties.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store management and local law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the sales floor, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter theft, trespass, and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Complete required reports and daily activity logs, document security-related incidents accurately, and communicate observations and concerns to supervision and client representatives.
