As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and/or access control needs. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and provide courteous service to tenants and visitors. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and other security-related policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property, including lobbies, corridors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, as assigned.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations, and communicate concerns promptly to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, and coordinate with local public service resources and/or property staff as directed.
