As an Allied Universal Officer in a healthcare location, you will manage access control by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and guiding staff, patients, and vendors to the right areas. You will complete security-related rounds and clear, timely reporting, help to reduce unwanted activity through a visible presence, and deliver customer service with calm communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing staff, patients, and visitors to appropriate entry points.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, alarms, and/or CCTV for unusual activity and report concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
