As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, greet drivers and team members, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and support a smooth flow of people and shipments. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies, including verifying identification and issuing visitor credentials.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies for personnel, contractors, and commercial vehicles, including managing visitor logs, delivery appointments, and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, and document unusual activity, policy violations, and maintenance issues according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, yard areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations at the location.
