Requirements

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, contractors, drivers and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges and/or passes, managing visitor logs, and directing traffic to designated docks, yards and check-in areas.
Screen incoming and outgoing persons, vehicles and deliveries per post orders, including coordinating with shipping and receiving teams and reporting exceptions through the approved chain of command.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing detailed reports and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas such as dock doors, trailer yards, parking lots and perimeter gates, and monitor cameras and/or alarm panels to help to deter unauthorized activity.
