As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain visitor and vehicle logs. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, drivers, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit at designated points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor and contractor logs, and directing arrivals to the proper check-in areas.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by coordinating driver check-in and/or check-out, verifying appointments or documentation as required by site policy, and communicating access issues to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through the proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, yard, and perimeter, noting irregular conditions and completing required reports. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
