As an Access Control Officer at a high-end retail location, you will greet associates and guests, manage entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor and package check-in. You will conduct routine rounds nearby, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver polished customer service with clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and store associates while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
  • Control access at designated entrances and/or loading areas by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit activity, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs.
  • Monitor CCTV and security-related systems, report irregular activity, and communicate observations to management and/or law enforcement as directed by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, documenting events, and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, back-of-house areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or theft-related activity.
