Job Description As a Security Officer - Parking Patrol Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy automotive location, you will make routine rounds through lots and facility areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with professionalism. You will communicate clearly with drivers, guests, and on-site teams, document observations, and support smooth operations through agile, reliable teamwork and integrity-first service.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and tenants at an auto parking location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and/or public responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout parking lots, garages, and perimeter areas, checking for unusual activity, unsecured doors or gates, and/or equipment issues that may help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic patterns, helping to maintain orderly entry and exit flow and reporting concerns to site leadership.
- Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate key information during shift turnover.
