As a Security Officer - Parking Structure Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading educational location, you will conduct routine rounds across buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with clear communication and professional service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and support campus operations with teamwork and integrity. Allied Universal is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an education location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate campus resources and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with ID and/or credential checks as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership, and support a professional presence that helps to deter misconduct.
