Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to questions and concerns, and document activity using site systems. Requirements
- Security experience of 6+ months is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Having a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Being able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Having customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and/or other on-site issues per post orders.
- Monitor access points and observe activity within the property, verifying credentials when required and directing visitors and/or contractors according to site guidelines.
- Complete shift activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, communicating relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
