Security Officer - Park Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Park Patrol in Hollywood, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor yards, docks, and building areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet drivers and team members with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations and/or concerns. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, support your team, and act with integrity every shift.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access control points and verify identification and/or shipping documentation as required by post orders; help to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly traffic flow.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
