As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a cultural institution, you will conduct routine patrols across grounds and facilities, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related issues, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism. You will greet guests with respectful customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document observations. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution setting.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of grounds, walkways, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor visitor and vehicle access, provide directions and information, and assist with orderly movement during services, ceremonies, and special events.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordinating with site staff, and contacting local responders when needed.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, document unusual conditions, and communicate shift updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
