About The Position
As a Security Officer - Overnight Utility Company Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones at a utilities location to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance, operational, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Support facility operations by communicating with employees, visitors, and contractors, following post orders, and assisting with traffic and gate activities as needed.
