As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and sharing updates with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance-related issues.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information as directed by site policies, and report suspicious activity, trespassing, and/or policy violations.
- Support emergency and outage-related operations by helping with traffic control, restricted area monitoring, and coordination with site personnel during elevated activity or changing conditions.
