As an unarmed patrol officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will document observations, communicate clearly with residents and staff, and support Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative service through teamwork, integrity, and a caring people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and contacting on-site management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, including checking identification when required, maintaining logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or client representatives per post orders.
