About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol Full-Time in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, respond to concerns, and support day-to-day operations with a service-first mindset. Requirements

  • Security Experience ‐ 1+ Years.
  • 21+ Years of Age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and maintain visitor and vehicle logs in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate via radio and/or phone, and coordinate with site representatives and public agencies as directed.
