About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol - Tech Site in Flower Mound, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or calls for service, and document activity using a computer or tablet. Backed by Allied Universal, you will bring reliable customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, verifying authorization where required, and reporting irregular conditions such as unsecured doors, damaged locks, or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, de-escalating conflicts when possible and requesting additional support from site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and service calls in written logs and/or electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to supervision and site leadership.
