You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and support staff, patients, and visitors with calm communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, where teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture guide every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must have a clean motor vehichle record
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or environmental concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and communicating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed by site procedures.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and direct individuals to appropriate destinations in accordance with site policies.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations using required reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
