As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Hospital restrain individuals are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, assisting with wayfinding and reporting suspicious or prohibited items and/or behavior per site policy.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate security-related observations during shift turnover.
