Job Description As a Security Officer - Overnight Front Desk in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a financial services location, you will greet employees and guests, manage access control and badge issuance, monitor entry activity, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and professionalism. You will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment by documenting incidents, coordinating with onsite partners, and delivering customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests at the front desk by following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies for a financial institution location.
  • Control access to the facility by screening visitors, verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and coordinating with authorized staff for approvals.
  • Monitor lobby activity, cameras, and/or alarm notifications as assigned, and report suspicious or unusual activity according to security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and communicating updates to leadership and/or local responders.
  • Complete security-related reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and support customer service requests such as directions, package or delivery coordination, and phone call routing as assigned.
