As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication. You will assist with access control, observe and report unusual activity, and support staff and visitors with a customer-first mindset. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of Security Experience ‐ 6+ Months.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or disturbances per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, hallways, and sensitive areas as assigned, assisting with visitor direction, badge and/or credential checks, and escalations to site leadership as needed.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
