About The Position

As a Security Officer - Office Tower Reception in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome tenants and visitors, manage access control and badging, answer questions, and support a professional lobby experience. You will monitor activity from the desk, document incidents, and communicate clearly with property staff to help reduce security-related issues. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at the front desk by following Allied Universal site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related protocols.
  • Monitor lobby activity and building entry points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, issue visitor credentials per policy, and maintain a professional presence to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Answer phones, route calls, and coordinate visitor check-in and check-out, including notifying tenants of arrivals and documenting service requests as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiate notifications, and support emergency response activities per site procedures.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as visitor activity, incidents, and key or badge issuance, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
