As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, perform visible presence checks, and document and report security-related observations. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting mobile patrols and quick response across the property. You will assist tenants and visitors with professional communication, while working with a team that values integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, suspicious activity, and property-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
• Control access points by verifying authorization for entry, monitoring doors and gates, and directing visitors to appropriate areas per site policies.
• Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and other property systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete routine reporting such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports with clear and accurate details.
• Communicate with property management, tenants, and local public services as needed during incidents, and assist with scene management until additional resources arrive.
• Perform key control and/or access credential procedures when assigned, including documenting issuance and recovery per post orders.
• Support fire and life event procedures by recognizing alarm activations, initiating notifications, assisting with orderly evacuations when directed, and documenting outcomes.
• Maintain a professional presence, follow post orders and instructions, and participate in required training and briefings to support consistent site operations.
