About The Position

As a Security Officer - Office Park Patrol Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to appropriate clinical staff and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with directing individuals to proper areas according to site guidelines.
  • Complete reports and logs for incidents, patrol activity, and/or observations, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
