Job Description As a Security Officer - NYS Licensed Rounds Rover in Lower Manhattan you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor key areas, conduct routine foot patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to concerns, and deliver a customer-first experience through clear communication and professional presence. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting concerns per post orders and escalating as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, assisting with evacuations as directed, and coordinating with local emergency services when required.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate site conditions and maintenance hazards to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
