Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access points by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries per site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and coordinate with site leadership and/or local emergency responders when needed.
