Security Officer - NYS Licensed Driver Patrol

Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Control access points by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries per site procedures.
- Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and coordinate with site leadership and/or local emergency responders when needed.
