As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with attentive customer service, clear communication, and prompt reporting of concerns. Requirements
- A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disturbances and coordinating notifications to on-site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Monitor access points and observe CCTV, alarms, and other systems as assigned, documenting unusual activity and reporting maintenance or operational concerns through the chain of command.
- Complete accurate reports, log entries, and incident documentation, and communicate timely updates during shift turnover to support continuity of security-related operations.
