About The Position

As a Security Officer - Night Route Patrol in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government transit location, you will monitor platforms, stations, and nearby areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist riders and staff with directions and concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and emergency services when needed. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical events, and/or suspicious activity, and coordinate with site leadership and public responders as directed.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and key assets, verifying authorization and directing individuals to appropriate resources and/or reporting channels.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written logs and reports, escalating concerns through the chain of command per post orders.
