As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government human services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to access questions, report concerns, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government services location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance as needed and coordinating with site leadership and/or public emergency services.
- Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification when required, screening for prohibited items per site policy, and directing visitors to appropriate service areas.
- Document patrols, incidents, and visitor interactions in written reports and logs, and communicate significant updates to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
