As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced tech location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a valid driver’s license in the job state to move between assigned areas as needed. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology campus or office location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing clear directions, requesting assistance, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at designated entrances by verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in, and directing deliveries to approved receiving areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and assist with monitoring alarms and/or cameras as assigned.
