About The Position

As a Security Officer - Neighborhood Roving Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will greet patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism, respond to concerns, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting staff with de-escalation support and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, helping to direct patients, visitors, and vendors, and reporting unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate status updates to supervisors and site personnel using approved radio and/or phone procedures.
