About The Position

As a Security Officer - Neighborhood Patrol Driver in Delphi, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a food and beverage location as a patrol unarmed officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide strong customer service and clear communication with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying identification, controlling entry and exit for employees, contractors, and deliveries, and directing visitors according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical events, and/or fire-related notifications, and coordinate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations; communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
