Job Description As a Security Officer - Museum Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a renowned cultural institution. Your role will involve conducting regular patrols, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a cultural institution setting.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the interior and the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
Assist visitors, staff, and guests with directions and information, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor at all times.
Support emergency response activities in accordance with site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
Maintain accurate and detailed logs and/or reports of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by site procedures.
