Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns within the location, including exhibition areas, public spaces, and restricted zones.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency personnel as needed to relay important information and updates.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and providing directions or information to visitors as required.
  • Support the enforcement of site policies and procedures to help maintain order and protect property within the cultural institution environment.
