Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns within the location, including exhibition areas, public spaces, and restricted zones.
Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency personnel as needed to relay important information and updates.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and providing directions or information to visitors as required.
Support the enforcement of site policies and procedures to help maintain order and protect property within the cultural institution environment.
