Job Description As a Security Officer - Museum Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol the location, maintaining a secure environment for guests and staff. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the location.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials as required, and/or providing directions to visitors.
Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and location staff to address security-related needs as they arise.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
