About The Position

As a Security Officer - Municipal Roving Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visibly present to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flows, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with staff and the public. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications, and documentation per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification and/or credentials as required, directing foot traffic, and maintaining visitor logs per site requirements.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs such as incident reports, patrol activity, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
